We have an amazing group of students who help out in our library, from maintaining the print collection to helping to carefully manage their class's Chromebooks. This fabulous group was responsible for helping to set up, take down and help out in our recent Scholastic book fair. Kudos to them! You definitely are Panther-amazing!

Overdue Library Books
Next week, I will be sending each teacher a list of students who have overdue library books. Borrowing will be suspended for those students who have more that two overdue library books.
I am asking all parents, teachers and students to take a good look at home, in your classrooms, lockers, backpacks, cars, vans, and at your babysitters for overdue library books.
Please return any library books, from any school, to the Clairlea Library and I will ensure that the books are sent back to the appropriate school.

Extended Deadline - Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair. We have decided to extend the book fair until Thursday, November 19th.
Hosting the book fair at Clairlea means that we receive a percentage of total sales which we can then use to purchase additional books, in French and English, guided reading materials, literacy circle books and books for reluctant readers, high-interest/ low vocabulary, as examples.
A huge thank you to parents and students for your support. I always enjoy meeting our parents and am thankful for all you do for our school. Thank you to our amazing teachers who have permitted the use of the library and computer space for two weeks to host the book fair and to helping out when the crowds were surging! As always, thanks to Mr. McGilvray and Ms Karsh for their ongoing support and good humour.
