What is the Library Learning Commons? How is the LLC different than a traditional library?
Consider the following ideas about LLCs and their impact on student learning.
Students:
- learn in the physical space (our library) and in virtual spaces (online environments where they access information);
- work collaboratively;
- build "learning networks" with teachers, other students, parents and experts in our community;
- engage in self-directed, inquiry-based learning;
- value the respectful and academic use of digital devices and online social networking services;
- value cultural understanding and global awareness.
